Extensive
independent testing is the key to proving the
performance of any water filter product. The ceramic
filter elements used in the Aqua Rain Gravity Water
Filter have been thoroughly tested by government
agencies and independent laboratories. Our unique
ceramic structure has been successfully tested in
independent laboratories with Cryptosporidium parvum
for cyst removal, and the EPA mandated Klebsiella
terrigena for bacterial removal. These elements have
also been successfully tested against the Health
Industry Manufacturing Association’s test organism,
Brevundimonas diminuta, which is approximately
one-third the size of the EPA bacteria test organism.
It is notable that all of these tests were performed at
60-90 p.s.i. which is far above the very low ½ p.s.i.
found in our gravity operated system. This equates to
an expected performance in microorganism removal far
beyond the results already achieved in our laboratory
testing.
What is
particularly noteworthy is that all of the above
laboratory tests have been performed with fully
expended elements, ready for disposal. All
components for testing were abraded to 10% below their
end-of-life tolerance and then exposed to contaminated
field water prior to being challenged in laboratory
testing. In every case, Aqua Rain Ceramic Elements
surpassed the stringent EPA standards for a bacteria and
cyst purifier.
We have gone
the extra mile to insure that our product will perform
as promised and remain effective in producing
safe drinking water throughout its entire life.
To the best of our knowledge, no other manufacturer
has dared to test in this way and publish the results of
this type of end-of-life testing.
