Background Reading
Standard
of Living
When we talk about a "high standard of living" we are
speaking about our level of material wealth as related to
other households and countries. This is the worst possible
measurement for establishing or identifying what a high
standard of living actually means. The commonly
accepted meaning of high standard of living has pretty much
been imposed on us by corporations that want to sell us more
goods and services. Their job is to make you think that you
simply can not survive without that gadget or this service.
Look through a catalogue at the useless junk they hock. We
used to need perhaps twenty things to get by with, now we
perceive that need to be no less than five-hundred things and for
some five-thousand things are an absolute minimum to live
our lives. It has been said a million times before, money
will not make you happy - but still we spend most of our
lives chasing after this material life.
Having lived overseas with my wife for the past eight years
what struck us most was the "high standard of living" we
experienced in what is often referred to as the third world.
People would flock to my wife and I and pay what amounts
to an average persons weekly salary for one hour of English
lessons. Their goal, to move to a land with the highest
standard of living - Germany, England, Canada or America.
What they were actually leaving behind was a much higher
standard of living than what they were chasing after. Much
of our time was focused on convincing them to stay where
they were and appreciate what they had.
Broken Bodies, Broken
Earth
Depression, suicide, self mutilation, substance abuse, child
abuse, incest, all are on the increase and all are
symptomatic of a Broken Earth. If conventional
treatments, medications and therapies were working we would
be seeing a sharp decline not a continued increase.
Admitting that conventional efforts are not adequately
addressing these problems is a start. Clearing the decks for
alternative methods is critical in discovering workable
alternative solutions. Many alternative efforts and sincere
individuals who want to help and can help will never make it
through a system that effectively weeds out anything
different from the many failed norms set by the academic and
professional communities as well as the government agencies
sanctioned to control these many problems.
We have tried their failed methods and approaches and we
have seen an increase rather than the desired decrease in
depression, suicide, self mutilation, substance abuse, child
abuse and incest. Those claiming that the statistical increases are a
result of reporting efforts becoming more effective should
be able to point to a decrease in the rates of suicide to
support their theories – suicide rates do not lie. Suicide
rates have dramatically increased. They are a clear
indicator that the many problems with our families and
children - the very fabric of our communities, is in
serious trouble.
The alternative programs Broken Earth proposes are
not to be found in academic and professional circles –
because it is not within their area of expertise. To permit
alternative programs a chance to thrive and prove themselves
effective we must remove the institutional restrictions and
regulations that prevent them from ever taking root. The
academic, scientific approach, destroys the holistic
benefits of spiritually based programs. In the same way that
chemotherapy and holistic cancer treatments do not mix,
scientifically and spiritually based social programs do not
mix. You must select one approach or the other. What is best
should be an individual decision, not a decision imposed by
a government institution.
The Broken Earth Tribal Community in addition to being a
full time tribal eco-village or pueblo for permanent
residents will also act as a healing center and Darga where
people in need - suffering from spiritual illnesses like
depression, can come and live, heal, and benefit from a
return to a connected and simplistic way of life. While
focused on teens and young adults, Broken earth is open to
all who need help.
Our Intention
Everything
begins with an intention and every good intention is for the
service and honor of the Creator of All Things. If our
intention is pure, good, truly serving Him, then we will see
some results. If not, then it was never meant to be in the
first place. We will begin with what we have, a good
intention and we will see how this naturally progresses.
Chasing after things, trying to make things happen, is often
based on ego and self, not on true service. If things fall
into place, we will continue. We ask blessings and
protection on this effort and that it will be something that
brings forward health and healing to the many distraught
young people in our society. This presentation is the
required cultivation and planting of the seeds - what grows
after that is purely from Him. We claim no responsibility
for what the fields or earth produces, the vegetation it yields and
the life and energy it brings.
End-Time Preparation
Many "religious" communities of this nature are focused on
end-time concerns. While we certainly believe in what all
holy books have said, that there will come a time when a war
of all wars ravages the earth. That circumstances today seem
rather desperate and a need for a self-sustainable community
is evident, we are not a community focused on end-times or
using an end-time scenario to unite or control people. Our
focus each day is living as if we are going to live forever,
but preparing ourselves spiritually as if we will die
tomorrow. The fact remains, the healthiest of lifestyles
today, is also a lifestyle that is best suited for living in
a declining world that may fall into utter chaos. The
routines we establish are best for living our lives today
and well suited for the worst of times to come. There is a
famous Sufi saying:
"That even if you know the world is going to end tomorrow,
plant a tree today".
Restoring
Humanity to Heal Humanity
The current official system that is mandated to addresses
these many problems with our society today have knocked the
humanity out of humanity. As one of many examples, people
with emergency mental and physical disabilities, requiring
immediate kindness, compassion and assistance, seek help
from the Social Security Administration and as a standard
rule are denied on the first application attempt. The entire
process takes months, even years to receive the help
required. During this time people do what - self medicate,
fall into depression, commit suicide, become abusive towards
their children and families and generally fuel more
costly problems. By the time help is received the individual is so
disillusioned, so disgusted with life, the help they do
receive is too little too late. Their spiritual. mental and
physical being is all the more weakened. The available
solutions are often found in administering harmful and
expensive medications. Band aids that cover-up severe
problems and never address the real issues.
Yes, the system is broken and the agencies and professionals
who make up this system know that it is broken, but fixing
it would mean the loss of their income and security. Fixing
it would mean admitting that the current methods and
programs do not work and should be scrapped. Fixing it would
mean that the billions of dollars allocated to fund and
support the broken system would be diverted or dry up.
Fixing it would mean that a person who spent the better part
of a decade and thousands of dollars in educational costs to obtain
their professional title and status would have to be
retrained and find other work. The broken system continues
to struggle along despite any recognizable benefits and with
most evidence suggesting that the current system has utterly
failed to address the many problems, it continues as
before. We are not saying
the people in the system are not sincere, but the pressures
and influences to protect what's theirs and promote the
methods they have been trained to administer are very real
concerns.
Lets face it, these many government supported social
programs may look impressive on paper but the real world
results are something entirely different.
In fact, these very government programs have sucked the
humanity out of society. This is a critically important
factor that is not being addressed. Before these government
programs were in place, families, close friends and
relatives, religious organizations and communities were
called upon to provide direct assistance. They perceived it
as their obligation and responsibility. A service that was
necessary to protect the health and well-being of their own
families and communities. Over the years as government
programs increased and quickly became the norm for providing
assistance, the response from families, close friends and
relatives, religious organizations and the greater
communities began to fall off. Help was reduced to directing
people to an existing government programs. Today the common
thinking is,
"Why should I help when I am already paying high taxes and
these programs are available for people if they need help?
This reality has destroyed the very foundations of families
and communities. It is the number one problem for why we are
suffering from so many societal ills. We were right in
rejecting the controlling nature of the church, but instead
of moving closer to God and further away from tyrants we
have relegated that control to an even bigger tyrant. A
tyrant that serves no God at all.
Yes, government experts were able to point to short comings
in communities and to people who were not receiving help to
gain the mandate to provide social services - but the
reality today is that the people falling through the cracks
and not being helped are far greater in number than the
problems pointed to to gain government control over these
social welfare programs and people.
Separation of Church and State
We should no longer view America as a land where church and
state are separate, we need to recognize that the state has
become the church. Much of the same reasons why people
started moving away from the influences of a controlling
church have been replaced by an every controlling
dictatorial government. An imposition of what amounts to
nothing more than government beliefs, whether deemed secular
or non-secular, have become more overbearing than the
worst impositions and controls that were ever imposed by
churches. It is time to reject these controlling influence
from both church and state. Rejecting a controlling church
does not mean the rejection of the Creator of All Things.
Given a choice between the controlling influences of a
church organization or the government, churches are much
better equipped to address the needs of the local people
because they are almost entirely community based. The
concept of community responsibility while still subjugated
by the church is still much stronger than the human
disconnect that results from government instituted and
managed programs. With churches, people still congregate as
a community, however divergent the various denominations
splinter the community, it still has no where near the
impact that the government has on alienating communities.
The answer is not to return to the dominating influence of
the church, but it does entail a return to spirituality and
community based support and help in whatever form that may
take.
It is way beyond the scope of our programs to attempt to fix
existing social welfare problems. It would be an approach
that would be destined to fail. The very best we can do is
attempt to avoid their many mistakes and the enormous
regulatory influences that actual work to keep them in
control. We fully expect that the status quo social welfare
system will respond to our approach in the same manner that
the status quo medical community first responded to holistic
and alternative healthcare. In fact, we see no real
solution to fix the current broken social service system
other than by offering alternatives..
This will be no easy task. When people see the results of
these programs they will demand more like them. We actually
anticipate quite a bit of interference and negative feed
back from the existing system and will likely be thwarted
with one attempt after another to regulate and control what
we are doing. Regulation and control destroys the essential
human spiritual component that these programs provide.
Nonetheless, we will strive to do our best and offer
alternative human spiritually centered programs that address
the root problems and concerns.
Spiritually Based Approach
While on the subject of Church and State influences, it is
appropriate to mention that our programs are spiritually
centered, not religiously based. An important distinction.
Our programs are open to anyone, although it should be
clearly conveyed to participants that our approach is an
approach that seeks to balance mind, body and spirit and
that a belief in a Creator of All Things is central to that
approach. Just as it is necessary to exercise your physical
body and mind to keep illness from developing, it is
essential to exercise your spiritual being. How a person
exercises their spiritual being is entirely up to that
individual. Our goal is to provide a multitude of cultural
methodologies for exercising your spiritual being and let
the person decide for themselves what is best. To this end
we will invite a number of aspirants from various ways to
present their spiritually based methods. Including but not
limited to Cabbalism, Buddhism, Shamanism and Sufism.
This will not be a time to proselytize any one given belief
system, gatherings will be experientially based and focused
on demonstrating the meditative aspects of a particular
faith or spiritual discipline.
Funding Requirements
We have no funding requirements. We will work with what is
afforded to us. We have a non-solicitation of funds policy
and firmly believe that having to beg for funds means that
the natural, holistic and spiritual energy or momentum of a
project is in fact compromised by solicitation of funds. In
short, any program that serves Him, is receiving His
support. Begin to intervene, try and make things happen,
organize, plan and desire more and your good intention
quickly turns into a self serving business that is
supporting your own desires not a real need. The focus then
becomes protecting what is yours, what you created, what you
established - not on serving the needs of the people. This
requires a high level of trust and belief in the prospect
that all things come and originate from the Creator of all
Things. We do not see this as a religious conviction, we
view this as a simple truth - Reality. It is a reality we
struggle to maintain and remain true to every day. When we
see a success, the natural inclination is to always be so
happy with ourselves that "I" did this, or "I" did that. No,
we do nothing. While not seeking to solicited funds we are
very much interested in educating people in this approach.
An argument that educating people can in itself be a form of
solicitation can certainly be made, but we do not see this
as a departure from our non-solicitation policy.
Non-solicitation means direct requests for funds and
donations. Educating and informing people who are equally
concerned about the health of our families and communities
is a noble task. Those who see the benefits of the work will
be inspired to give. There is no need to ask. If seeing that
something is good and not supporting, could mean that even
though the effort is needed and the benefit can be realized,
the people are simply not deserving and are in fact create their own
suffering so that they may eventually learn what is correct.
This is part of a natural holistic process and approach.
Wise Man Syndrome
Most everyone, at some point in their lives has thought
about secluding themselves from the busy world - retreating
to a cave or desert island. We share these notions because
we all have a spiritual side of ourselves begging to be
exercised and nurtured. Many of us enroll in weekly yoga or
meditation activities to foster this side of our being -
which is great.
Others frequent health spas and resorts where they can feel
pampered and cared for. Countless self-help programs and
courses are available to nurture the emptiness that results
from not exercising your spiritual being. As with your
physical and mental being, if your spiritual being is not
exercised we become weak and prone to illness. What we all
really need is a place to go to get recharged. With our busy
schedules we want the very best results with the least
amount of time and expense.

A
Tribal Calling
A Tribal Life is a natural way of living that conforms to
our physical, mental and spiritual needs. We are meant to
live simplistic holistic lives in complete conformity with
our natural surroundings. If we are not living this life, we
are suffering. Locked in an office building, living in a
city, even life in suburban communities does not provide the
tribal style of life that our physical, mental and spiritual
being craves. Most of us are living outside the circle of
life.
For most of us, a full time tribal life is out of the
question. Nonetheless, a part time tribal life is possible
and better than
no tribal life at all. Even a short stay in a real, back to
basics, tribal pueblo will work wonders in discovering your
true self. When you experience the benefits of simplistic
natural living, you may find that you start gravitating towards spending more of your time in
this invigorating natural environment. Eventually, many
people may decide to make it their full time residence. If
you have ever had the opportunity to sit in a conical shaped
earth
Beehive Dwelling
with no annoying electrical hums or electronic gadget sounds
- you will understand the allure and benefits these natural
environments hold. The vaulted natural ceiling makes you
feel like you are in a very spacious and expansive
environment - it is extremely relaxing and freeing.
There are two ways to begin acquiring this rejuvenating
lifestyle. Renting a
Beehive Dwelling owned by
someone else, or owning a
Beehive Dwelling yourself
and sharing in the rental profits it may bring. Actually, the
third option is to build a
Beehive Dwelling in
our eco-pueblo and make
it your full time life-style. Most of you will need t o
gradually work your way up to living natural lives. A
natural pueblo life pretty much means no electronics of any
sort. This is not an easy addiction to overcome. Make
no mistake - it is an addiction. Most of you will experience
technology withdrawals for the first few days. After you
kick your habit, it is even harder to return to your busy
lifestyle. Nevertheless, the benefits will remain with you
long after you go home.
Building and purchasing a a beehive home is relatively
inexpensive. While not owning the land you do have the right
to the structure and will share in any rental income.
Beehive homes, if agreeable to the owner, will be used to
house people coming for the many
Broken Earth Programs. Those agreeing to let their
Beehive Home be used for Broken Earth Programs will get
preference.
The cost of a basic Beehive Home starts as low as US
$5,000.00. With sweat equity, even lower. We prefer that
people come and participate in the building of their own
Beehive Home, however one can be built for you. A basic
Beehive Home has no plumbing or electricity. A wood stove
and kerosene lamps are your energy and basic cooking
sources. Most meals for those living in a basic Beehive Home
will be eaten in the community hall. Public bath houses and
toilets will also be made available. Options to add on
kitchens and bathrooms are available but are substantially
more expensive.

Rejuvenating and
Exercising your Spiritual Being
The best way to rejuvenate your physical, mental and
spiritual being is to return to a natural and simplistic
tribal way of life. Pampering yourself at the newest spa or
retreat center, attending another self-help group, paying
for hundreds of hours of therapy or even weekly meditation
or yoga practices will not provide the same balancing effect
that a week or two of staying at a tribal pueblo can
accomplish. Be prepared to leave your busy life behind.
Also be prepared for plenty of natural activity and hard
work. Not only will your spirit get a full workout, so will
your body and mind. That really is the secret to simplistic
living - it provides you with a balance between, body, mind
and spirit.

What to Expect!
Expect a lot because you will attain a lot.
Expect to live the way we were intended to live. Think
tribal, somewhat nomadic, indigenous communities that foster
and embrace a simplistic natural way of living. Think
traditional Native American lifestyles. We are not thinking
so much of a hunter gatherer lifestyle, but more of a
natural living off the land lifestyle. Tending the flock,
milking the cows, weeding the garden, churning the butter,
baking the bread in a wood stove, spinning the wool, dying
the fabric, learning how to build Beehive dwellings, are
just some of the many activities you can expect. This is not
a place to be pampered it is a place to restore yourself by
living the way you were intended to live. Becoming one with
nature and the people and world around you. People
will be able to handle different levels at different times.
Busy lives are really an addiction and may need to be tapered
off. Many of you will want to kick the addiction forever,
but just about everyone is going to learn to live happier
healthy lives. No one will spend time in a
Beehive Tribal
Community
and walk away without some lasting benefit.

A Word About
Survival & Ownership!
Owning a
Beehive Dwelling
in a sustainable
Beehive Tribal
Community is perhaps your best
insurance against a failed economy. While not focused on a
failed anything, it is important to consider these
possibilities. Many people today have
justifiable concerns about the health and well-being of our
economy and nation. If our busy complicated world does go
belly up, if oil prices exceed levels able to sustain normal
production, what will you do without electricity, water, and
a sustainable food source that does not have to be trucked
across the country? How will you survive in a city or
even a rural setting. Even if you have a well and the
electricity goes out, then how do you retrieve the water or
protect what is yours from people ho have not prepared? Owning
a Beehive Dwelling in a
Beehive Tribal Community is
the best insurance policy against a crashing economy
leading to either
Marshal Law rule or total anarchy. These
real and growing concerns are now shared by many people. If
this happens, you do not want to be anywhere near the
cities. Another 9-11 and many people believe this country
will be under
Marshal Law.
Let's hope that never happens, but just in case, a
Beehive
Dwelling
in a sustainable
Beehive Tribal
Community,
is going to be your best alternative and the best insurance
you can purchase.

What is a
Beehive Tribal Community?
More than anything a
Beehive Tribal
Community
is a holistic farm and land cooperative. It is virtually impossible
to sustain a small farm today and make it financially work
within a competitive market place. The benefits of a
Beehive Tribal
Community
is not just the protection it may ultimately provide as a
place to escape to if the going gets tough, not just the benefits from the whole food
products the farm will produce, meat, fish, dairy, grains, vegetables and the
like. The
Beehive Tribal
Community
is a therapeutic living center to get back to a simple
healthy way of life without having to make a full time
commitment or having to go it alone. The
Beehive Tribal
Community
is an ongoing retreat center where you reconnect to life and
learn new crafts and skills.
They are places where your children and spouse can enjoy
holistic activities that
promote the health and well-being of your entire family.
The
disconnect from nature and the ever so important "Meaning of Life
Issues" is one of
the biggest causes of depression and suicide in this
country. The
Beehive Tribal
Community
is a back to nature call - important on so many different
levels, spiritual, mental and physical. The
Beehive Tribal
Community
is a natural healing center. The
Beehive Tribal
Community
is a community strong hold that unite like minded individual
and provide them with the strength and resolve to stand up
for a way of life that has nearly disappeared. The
Beehive Tribal
Community
is a natural living center.
Regulations imposed on family farms today by corporations
who diligently lobby Congress for the very controls that are
designed to drive the small farmers out of business, have
had a devastating affect on both the family farm and the
food we as consumers are now forced to eat. Dairy, grain,
vegetables, meat are all industrialized products that have
not only lost the important energy from human touch but are
responsible for many negative, often deadly, health
problems. That hamburger you ate, in the industrialized
manner that it was slaughtered, likely has meat from a
thousand different animals greatly increasing your chances
of exposure to many different kinds of food borne illness.

The
Amazing Beehive
Dwelling
Beehive dwelling are one of the oldest and certainly the
most favored dwellings in the world. Beehive homes or the
close relatives to the conical beehive shaped dwellings have
been in existence for thousands of years. There are very
good reasons why - they are by far the most economical and
efficient dwellings that can be constructed. Cool in the
Summer and warm in the Winter beehive homes can be
constructed almost anywhere utilizing different materials
and building styles. In much of the Middle East where wood
is often in short supply, beehive dwellings are constructed
with cob and rocks. In places like Alaska, conical shaped
dwellings, the igloo, are constructed with ice blocks. With
the advent of earth bag building techniques, beehive
dwellings can be constructed most anywhere. Bags are filled
with volcanic pumas, sand, dirt, rocks and other natural
building materials. Cozy natural, energy efficient - they
are by far the best building solution available. Disagree,
start your own Tribal Community. We will be happy to list
your alternative project here so people may have a choice.

Establishing
a Beehive Tribal
Community
We have searched around the Northern New Mexico Area and
decided that the best place to be is centered between two of
the best towns in America, Santa Fe and Taos. For many
people having access to a city is important for their
businesses and ongoing technology addictions. It also serves
as an easy entry point for part-timers, renters and owners, who are coming from
other locations. We will place a down-payment on the land we
have selected as soon as we have ten or more people committed to
building a
Beehive Dwelling.
Currently we have about five. More information about where the community is located and
how it will be operated will be made available to persons
making serious inquires. What is a serious inquiry? That
changes according to how many other serious inquiries we
have. If your are really interested, don't be afraid to
let
us know.
