The
Crucifixion of the Antichrist?
When
Jesus had come to about thirty-three years of age, the
Jewish authority of the day was very fed up with him and his
influence on their people. They whispered among themselves
and devised a plan to get rid of the Christ, for indeed he
was the Christ, the Messiah, but they did not accept him as
such.
Knowing that
the people would be very displeased with their involvement
in his capture, they leaked information to the Roman
authorities, letting them know they would have their support
should they wish to take him. The Roman authorities offered
a lofty prize for anyone willing to betray Christ.
There was one
‘follower’ of Jesus, whose heart was dark and full of greed.
His name was Judas Iscariot. Judas heard of the prize
offered for the betrayal of Jesus and he went in search of a
Roman Guard. They made their deal and Judas told the guard
that he would be waiting outside the city gates near sundown
and that he would indeed take them to Jesus.
That evening
of the Passover, Jesus and His disciples left the city and
went out into the garden of Gethsemane. They sat, as they
usually did, for their lessons and prayer. Jesus lead them
in prayer as he always did. Jesus had been informed by a
message from heaven that the soldiers would be coming to
take him. He knew that his followers would be in jeopardy.
He had been given instructions and knowledge on what to do
and what would take place. Jesus instructed His people to
disburse and hide. He also went and hid himself in a private
place.
Not much time
passed before the soldiers could be heard approaching the
garden. Judas Iscariot lead them to the location where Jesus
had instructed his people to meet that evening. He was
mildly surprised when he found no one present.
“Wait here,”
said the soldiers, “and we will go and find him.” They
disbursed in all directions, leaving Judas alone at the
place where he had intended to betray his Lord.
Judas had not
been alone long when he noticed bright lights from heaven
and the sound of wings and wind all around him. He cowered
under his cloak as he tried to hide his face from the
angels. He was very afraid and ashamed as he understood that
God had seen all he had done.
Judas was
still in a state of shock when the soldiers returned. He sat
on the ground and as he stood to greet them, they seized him
“Ah, there
you are, Judas said that you would be here, and now we see
he was correct!”
Judas tried
in vain to protest. “But, I am Judas, what is this mistake,
what are you saying?”
The soldiers
roared with sarcastic laughter. “Look how he begs!” They
taunted him.
They shackled
him to their horses and drug him back into the city where he
was thrown into a dungeon, whipped and tortured and
eventually crucified on a cross outside the city gates.
‘Instead of
Christ’
Because he
was ‘against Christ,’
The angels in
the garden had been sent to refashion the face of Judas to
make him look like Jesus.
This was
confirmed when the mother of Jesus, called Mary, was seen at
the foot of the cross and when it was said to her, “Woman
behold thy son.” Her response was to declare that indeed,
this was not her son.
Mary was not
weeping for she had beheld the back of the man on the cross
and his special mark was not there. She knew it was not him
and was comforted by God in her understanding that he had
been protected and was still alive.
Word spread
among the people that Jesus was indeed still alive. The
Roman authorities were very distraught to think they had
crucified the wrong man and so they opened the tomb on the
third day in order to prove to themselves and the people
that they had crucified their Christ. When they entered,
they found no body whatsoever in the grave. The tomb was
empty.
Jesus was
seen later that same day in the streets of Jerusalem and
very shortly thereafter was taken, body and all, up into
heaven.
Jesus remains
alive to this day, and will return to usher in the kingdom
of God on earth, for he truly is the Messiah.
So, what
happened to the body of Judas?
Well, his
face became a hideous disgrace and he was taken in chains to
a place where he is being held until he returns to earth as
the antichrist.
Though his
powers have not been unleashed, his work began at the cross.
His betrayal of Christ and his death as an imposter of
Christ have lead Christians so far away from the real
teachings of Jesus that they will not be recognized as
Christians on the day of Christ’s return, but will instead
be seen as those deceived by the betrayer of Christ,
Biblically known as “the antichrist.”
One of the
signs of the antichrist is his ability to deceive even the
good among human beings. Holy books say that many believers
will be taken astray by him and will fall into his trap.
Belief in the death of Christ as a necessary sacrifice is
the beginning of this deception.
Continued
complacency and focus on falsehood keeps Christians from the
real Truth of Christ and his followers. The belief that
Jesus ‘died for their sins’ removes accountability.
Accountability, for most people, is the motivation for
change. The doctrines of ‘original sin and the need for
redemption through the death of Christ,’ lead those who
would serve God for love down a path of serving God out of
gratitude. Gratitude is doing something for God because He
did something for you. Serving God out of love, means
serving God because you were born with an insatiable need to
love Him, no other reason. These teachings which lead to
serving out of gratitude then lead Christians to this
shallow understanding that ‘God did for me, now if I do for
Him, then He will do for me some more!’
This is man’s
attempt to bring God to our level. He is not a created
being, He is the Creator. He is unique! He has no partners!
Just a
thought for pondering, if as the antichrist would have man
believe, Jesus was ‘part of God’ come to earth to die for
our sins. Why would death be such a sacrifice when that part
of God which came to earth would know what was waiting in
heaven for Him? Death is not such a challenge for a true
believer, so how much less of one for God Himself?
For those who
can use your mind, understand that the idea that God needed
a sacrifice in order to be near you is where the Christian
doctrine looses the continuity of Truth and the madness
begins! No sacrifice needed! God has no needs! He needs
nothing from us! He gives to whom He wills, as He wills! We
are owed nothing! We owe Him our love and allegiance simply
because He created us.
If God is an
all powerful, all forgiving, loving God, then why would He
need a sacrifice of blood and pain in order to accept His
own creations? Why would a God, who is all Merciful, need to
cause suffering and death in order to ‘redeem’ His people?
This accepted
twisting of Truth, puts God on a human level, making Him
subject to the rules and understanding of creatures. God, is
all powerful. He makes and causes all things. He controls
all things! He rules the universes and beyond! We cannot put
Him into the limits of a created being, No! This is not
possible!
